I was one of two people behind the original design of Sophie, Stefanini’s AI assistant, using personas as a guide. My focus was bringing her to life in 3D, starting with Character Creator and iClone to shape her look and build animations for a projection hologram at an event. As the tech evolved, I kept refining her design to be more expressive, relatable, and visually neutral across cultures. In later versions, I used AI tools to enhance her features and expressions while keeping her aligned with brand goals. Sophie became a global brand asset, featured in marketing, client platforms, and AI tools worldwide.

This video I created highlights the story and evolution of Sophie, Stefanini’s AI assistant. I contributed to the design and animation of her character and helped bring her to life as a 3D avatar used in marketing, internal communications, and live events. I also used a motion capture suit to assist with body movements. The video showcases how Sophie grew from a research concept into a global brand presence.
Moving Sophie from a 3D iClone/Character Creator model to AI-driven visuals took a multi-step workflow. I trained AI on different angles of her face, used face replacement tools to match expressions, upscaled the results, and finished with Photoshop cleanup to keep everything sharp.
